Why smart businesses go solar
In today's economy, smart business leaders are constantly looking for ways to cut costs, gain a competitive edge, and future-proof their operations. Commercial solar checks all those boxes and then some. With Lunex Power, going solar isn't just about sustainability, it's a strategic financial move.
Save More, Predict More
Electricity costs are one of the most unpredictable operating expenses for any business. With a solar system, you gain control. Lock in predictable energy rates and slash your monthly utility bills, often by up to 50% or more.
Accelerated ROI, Long-Term Gains
With accelerated depreciation (MACRS) plus state and local incentives and utility rebates where available, most commercial systems pay for themselves in about 3-6 years. After that, you're essentially generating free power for decades.
Brand Boost & Environmental Impact
Today's consumers and partners care about sustainability. By switching to solar, your business sends a clear message: you care about the planet and the people on it. It's a simple, powerful way to boost your brand image and meet ESG goals.
Future-Proofed Operations
Solar isn't just an investment in clean energy, it's an investment in your resilience. Pair your system with battery storage and safeguard your operations from outages, rising energy prices, and supply chain disruptions tied to fossil fuels.

At Lunex Power, we simplify the switch with tailored designs, seamless installations, and transparent pricing. Whether you're a small business or managing a large-scale facility, we'll build the solar solution that pays off from day one—and keeps paying dividends for decades.

Our Process
At Lunex Power, we make going solar simple. Our proven commercial installation process is designed to minimize downtime, maximize ROI, and deliver clean energy with confidence.

1. Site Evaluation & Utility Analysis
We begin by reviewing your energy usage, utility rate schedule, and facility layout to understand your needs. Our team conducts a preliminary roof layout and utility interconnection review to guide system sizing and feasibility.

2. Custom Design & Detailed Proposal
Next, we prepare a tailored system design using engineering-grade layout tools. You receive a clear proposal that includes projected production, savings, incentives, and a payback analysis.

3. Contract Finalization & Project Kickoff
Once you approve the proposal, we formalize the agreement and schedule the project. Our internal teams coordinate procurement, engineering, and site prep without the delays of outsourcing.

4. Engineering Review & Permitting
Our in-house engineers finalize system plans, and our permitting specialists submit all necessary documents to local authorities and utility providers. This ensures a smooth path to approval.

5. Installation & Project Execution
We manage material delivery, job site staging, and system installation with precision and transparency. You'll receive progress updates, safety inspections, and photo documentation along the way.

6. Activation, Monitoring & Support
After inspection and utility approval, your system goes live. We activate real-time monitoring and provide close-out documentation, ensuring you're set up for long-term success.

At Lunex Power, we believe people are the core of every successful project. Our team, led by CEO Dan Gawrych, is made up of some of the most talented, diverse, and experienced professionals in the solar industry. Dan's founding philosophy is simple but powerful: “Your people are your product.”
This principle drives how we operate every day: by prioritizing the expertise of our team and aligning every project with your business goals.
Proven Experience. Scalable Results.
With more than 50 years of combined experience, Lunex Power has delivered over 250 megawatts of clean energy to homes, businesses, and utilities across the eastern U.S. We've designed and built solar solutions for 2,900+ clients, including 900+ installations annually.
From utility-scale solar farms to complex commercial systems, we've earned a reputation for engineering excellence, operational discipline, and results that scale.
A Legacy of Growth. A Team That Delivers.
What began as a small installation firm has grown into a full-service EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) provider, built from the ground up to serve commercial and utility-scale clients. Our strategic foundation has attracted top industry talent, enabling us to consistently deliver projects on time, on budget, and beyond expectations.
The Lunex Power Advantage
Choosing the right partner for your commercial solar project is a big decision, and not all contractors are created equal. At Lunex Power, we combine deep technical expertise with a personalized approach to deliver real results, not just panels on your roof.
Here's what sets us apart:
Vertical Integration
We don't outsource key steps. From engineering to permitting, project management to installation, our in-house team handles it all. That means faster installs, better quality, and greater accountability.
Competitive Warranties
We offer 10-year commercial warranties on both workmanship and roof penetrations, protecting your investment with coverage that goes beyond the industry standard.
Proven Reputation
With over 1,000 installations per year and an almost 5-star customer rating, we've built our reputation on trust, consistency, and exceeding expectations.
Local Partnerships & Community Roots
We're proud to be the official solar partner of USF Athletics and the Tampa Bay Rays, and active members of both the Tampa and St. Pete Chambers of Commerce. Community involvement isn't a side note, it's a core value.
Streamlined Permitting
We know your state's permitting landscape inside and out. Our team manages the entire process on your behalf to eliminate delays, confusion, and red tape.
Value-Driven Solutions
Solar is a long-term investment. We focus on maximizing your return on investment and payback period, not just selling you a system, but helping your business save for decades.
Personalized, Responsive Team
Unlike national solar giants, we provide a more tailored and communicative experience. You'll know your project manager's name, and you'll never feel like just another ticket in the system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of commercial properties does Lunex Power work with?
We design and install solar for a wide range of properties—including schools, warehouses, office buildings, retail centers, churches, industrial facilities, and multi-tenant properties. If your business has a roof, parking lot, or available land, we can usually engineer a viable solar solution.
How much can my business save with commercial solar?
Savings depend on your usage, utility rates, and system size, but many of our commercial clients reduce their electricity costs by 30–60%. Between lower monthly bills, tax incentives, and accelerated depreciation, most systems achieve payback in roughly 3–6 years and then provide decades of low-cost power.
What incentives are available for commercial solar projects?
Most commercial projects may qualify for the 30% federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) under Section 48, plus accelerated depreciation (MACRS) and bonus depreciation. Some projects may also qualify for incentive “adders,” such as Energy Community bonuses or Low-Income bonuses. Eligibility varies, and we’ll help you understand which programs may apply to your project. (Not tax advice.)
Will a commercial solar project disrupt my day-to-day operations?
We plan projects around your operations to minimize disruption. Most work is performed on the roof or designated ground area, with staging and electrical tie-ins coordinated around your schedule. You’ll have a dedicated project manager who communicates timelines, access needs, and any potential impacts in advance.
Do you handle engineering, permitting, and utility approvals?
Yes. Lunex Power is a full-service EPC. Our in-house team handles system engineering, structural and electrical design, all permitting with local authorities, and interconnection applications with your utility. We manage the entire process from concept to permission to operate (PTO).
What financing options do you offer for commercial solar?
We support several structures, including cash purchase, traditional commercial loans, leases, and power purchase agreements (PPAs). Each option has different impacts on cash flow, ownership, and tax treatment. We’ll walk you through the pros and cons so you can choose the structure that best fits your balance sheet and long-term goals.
How long does a commercial solar project take from start to finish?
Timelines vary based on project size, permitting complexity, and utility review. As a general guideline, smaller commercial systems may complete in 3–6 months from contract signing, while larger or more complex projects can take longer. Your proposal will include an estimated schedule and we’ll keep you updated at every milestone.
Will solar panels damage my roof or increase the risk of leaks?
No. Our commercial systems are engineered to meet or exceed roofing and structural requirements. We use mounting methods appropriate for your roof type—such as ballasted systems for flat roofs or mechanically attached racking for pitched roofs—and we back our work with dedicated workmanship and roof penetration warranties.
Do you offer monitoring and maintenance for commercial systems?
Yes. We provide remote monitoring, performance reporting, warranty support, and optional maintenance plans to ensure long-term reliability.
What kind of maintenance do commercial solar systems require?
Solar systems have no moving parts and require relatively little maintenance. We recommend periodic inspections, cleaning where appropriate, and proactive service checks on inverters and electrical equipment. Lunex Power offers maintenance and support options tailored to your facility and performance goals.
Why should we choose Lunex Power over other commercial solar providers?
Lunex Power combines full in-house engineering, permitting, and installation with a track record of delivering megawatt-scale projects on time and on budget. We focus on ROI modeling, long-term reliability, and clear communication—so you’re not just getting panels on a roof, you’re getting a partner invested in your business outcomes.
